Let’s build a Community Space together!

2020 & 2021 have been the years of maturing for Safe Space. This year our main goal is to become a household name by establishing a physical gathering space in the heart of Riga & we would be honored if YOU were part of this journey!

 Three reasons for an office:

  • Community

    There’s an increasing necessity for a physical community space for people to gather, and brainstorm ways how to better the situation of various marginalized groups in Latvia.

  • Communication

    This June we are starting an awareness-raising podcast on social issues surrounding the LGBTQ+ community in Latvia and for that, we need an appropriate office space.

  • Connectivity

    This will be a space for intellectual exchange. Whether it’s a queer-themed library or an exhibition place for artists of marginalized backgrounds, we’ll ensure they have a voice!

Team behind the Community Space

“Safe Space“ core is made up of three queer activists - Ieva, Frankie un Jurgis. They bond over many things, but in particular - a nice glass of wine and human rights!
